Green Wave Volleyball vs. Hayti TONIGHT @ 5PM VARSITY ONLY!

Malden Green Wave Volleyball will be traveling to Senath tonight, August 28th @ 5 PM!

The HS Football Game Friday Night -- August 25 @ Caruthersville has been moved to start time of 7:30 due to the Heat Index. You must have a ticket voucher to get into the game -- You still must pay at the stadium. You can get tickets from -- Head Football Coach - Shane Kearbey or the Athletic Director - Tim Harmon.

Malden Elementary students were welcomed back with a couple of friendly faces, Lt. Denise Summers and the Green Wave mascot! A big thanks to Denton Kooyman for making the Green Wave appearance possible!

Thank you to the Malden Police Department for donating emergency trauma kits to all of the classrooms at Malden R-I. Pictured are our district’s 2 full-time school resource officers: Officer Phelps and Lt Summers.

Some bus routes, bus numbers, and drivers have changed. Please keep watch for the school bus this morning, and we ask you to be patient while drivers learn their new routes.

PSA: Medicaid Renewal Information

1st Day of Green Wave Football practice begins today at 5 P.M. for students entering grades 9-12. Report time is 4:45 P.M. Athletes must have a current sports physical in order to participate. #ROLLWAVE #RISEASONE

Missouri State Law requires all students to be immunized against preventable diseases. All students entering K, 8th, and 12th grade must provide proof of immunization by the first day of school, August 22nd! Call your child's primary care physician to verify immunizations are up-to-date. Immunizations can be given at Dunklin County Health Department. You must call for an appointment at 573-888-9008. K- MMR and Varicella 2nd dose 8th- TDAP and Meningoccal 12th- Meningoccal

Students in grades 6-12 can pick up class schedules from the high school office beginning Monday, August 7 through Thursday, August 10 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and on Friday, August 11 from 8:30 am until noon. Students with scheduling questions must see Mrs. Ison in her office during this time.

Malden R- I will host an Open House and Meet the Teacher on August 17th from 5:30-7:30 PM! At the elementary school, parents and students can stop by the gym for "Popsicles with the New Principal!" and go to their teacher's classroom! At the high school, 6th grade students and parents will have Junior High Orientation at the gym at 5:30 PM! All of the junior high and high school students will be able to pick up schedules and meet their teachers!

The Malden R-I School District is undergoing bathroom renovations in the lower elementary and all junior high and high school student bathrooms. These renovations are scheduled to be completed by the first day of school in August. During the renovations, one set of bathrooms was determined to need asbestos abatement. To handle this matter as safely and efficiently as possible, we will be cancelling summer school on Friday, June 9th. The abatement process will only take a half day to complete so we will return to summer school on Monday, June 12th.
