At the Margaret Harwell Art Museum Annual Student Art Show, Malden had 6 entries. Our students received following awards: 1st place in Drawing went to Savannah Jones of Malden for her entry titled "Memory of Her Face". 1st Place in painting went to Payton Pickard of Malden for her entry titled “Stumping” 2nd place in painting went to Savannah Crank for her entry titled “On the prowl” Honorable mentions went to Savannah Crank for painting “scales in the snow”, Zoei Pyland for drawing “flowers in the dark” and painting “Leaning Flowers” Each first place recipient receives $50 2nd and 3rd place winners received $35 and $25 respectively. Great work and congratulations to the students and thank you to their teacher, Mr. Sokolov!

Exciting things are happening in Ms. Smart's AP Biology II class as they have been actively cultivating bacteria from diverse environments. Putting knowledge and learning to the test!

From a persuasive letter to a playground reality!

When elementary student, Eliza Darter, wrote to school administrators sharing her dream of a Gaga Ball Pit, she didn't just ask for a game; she made a compelling case for more joy and activity at recess.

Her vision was passed on to the High School Agriculture teacher, Cody Coleman, whose talented students stepped up to make it happen. Today, that dream is officially a reality!

We are so proud of Eliza for using her voice and our Ag students for their hard work and craftsmanship. Our playground just got a whole lot more exciting!
